Privacy Policy

X-Split is a browser extension that splits long X/Twitter posts into threads. Last updated: June 2026.

Data Collection

X-Split does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All text processing happens entirely in your browser. No data ever leaves your device.

What the Extension Accesses

x.com and twitter.com pages — The extension runs on these sites to detect the compose box and display the split sidebar. It reads text you type or paste into the compose box for the sole purpose of splitting it into thread chunks.

Clipboard — When a split occurs, the first chunk is automatically copied to your clipboard. You can also click any copy button to copy individual chunks.

Browser storage — Your settings (max character count, numbering style, URL counting toggle, fill mode) are saved to your browser's local storage. These settings never leave your device.

No Third-Party Services

X-Split contains no analytics, no tracking scripts, no advertising, and no third-party APIs. It does not make any network requests except loading the extension's own files.

Changes
